Food
Keep the familiar food at first and make any changes gradually.
A kitten needs calm, clear routines and patient people during its first few weeks at home.
First weeks
Set up a resting place, a feeding area, water, a safe space and a simple routine. The kitten does not have to learn everything on the first day. Gentle repetition, rest and consistency are more helpful than rushing.
Keep the familiar food at first and make any changes gradually.
Kittens sleep a lot. Pace out visits, intense play and new stimuli.
After sleeping, eating or playing, guide it to the litter box and reward it calmly.
Get it used to brushing little by little, along with checking ears, paws and nails.
Remove cords, toxic plants and small objects, and block off dangerous areas.
Introduce new people, sounds and places in a positive and gradual way.
